Kingsley Hall Dagenham – 90th Anniversary
On December 16, 2019 an event was held at Kingsley Hall Dagenham to celebrate the 90th Anniversary of it’s founding in 1929.
In fact the event comprised:
- The story of Kingsley Hall from the founding of the Dagenham site by the Lester Sisters in 1929
- An update on the plan for the on-going development of the buildings
- Some carol singing
- The “Birthday Cake”
Rod Keane ran through the history of the site and introduced the tea, responsible for planning the future developments.
Artists impressions of some of the new buildings were presented:
Carol Singing was led by Tony Lucas accompanied by his wife, Carol, on piano
The event concluded with the cutting of the 90th Anniversary “Birthday” Cake which was cut by
Emily Saville, (age 96) who has attended Kingsley Hall, Dagenham since it’s second day in 1929
